Brown Dermatology, Inc. is recruiting a dermatologist to join its faculty to serve as the Director of Cutaneous Oncology. Candidates must be board-eligible/board-certified in Dermatology and eligible for appointment in Dermatology at Brown University as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The Department of Dermatology at Brown University is the largest academic group providing comprehensive dermatologic care in the State of Rhode Island extending to Southern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut. The dermatology clinical service spans two health systems/seven hospitals (Lifespan and Care New England) and the Providence VA.

We seek a colleague who will continue to build and grow the busy cutaneous oncology program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in crafting a niche in an area of interest, including a dedicated subspecialty clinic to pursue this interest, and an interest in educating and supervising dermatology residents, rotating dermatology residents and Brown medical students. The position includes:
  • Ambulatory services (clinical and surgical) at Brown Dermatology, Inc. offices, inpatient and emergency department consultations, didactic teaching to dermatology residents, and participation in multidisciplinary activities such as tumor board and high-risk skin cancer clinics
  • Dedicated administrative time for academic pursuits
  • Potential to work with our skin cancer colleagues in the multidisciplinary clinic and during tumor board
  • Opportunity to lead cutaneous oncology-related clinical trials at our hospital-based clinical trials center with support from experienced researchers, a program manager, IRB coordinator and research assistants.
