Expected pay for this position is $53.71 - $71.16/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Development - Cancer Institute is a role developed to elevate and enhance foundation alignment and fundraising production for the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute. In partnership with institute leadership, this position will ensure that foundation philanthropic fundraising efforts will align with cancer care funding priorities. In conjunction with foundation leadership, this position will assist in the coordination of all major, midlevel and annual initiatives aligned with OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute. The Director of Development interfaces directly with clinical leadership, as a conduit to connecting our donor populations such as grateful patients and Mission Partner to meaningful giving opportunities. The Director of Development will collaborate with additional foundation fundraisers (gift officers, events teams, donor stewardship) to ensure the successful closing of major gifts that benefit OSF Cancer Institute. The Director of Development, OSF Cancer Institute will manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation of new relationships to deepen and broaden all donor impact within the OSF HealthCare Ministry.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma/ GED
Experience:
- High School Diploma and seven years of major gift fundraising experience OR Bachelor's degree in fundraising (or related field) and five years of major gift fundraising experience.
- Five years of experience in professional fundraising, events or project management.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Expert understanding of major gift donor prospect Moves Management.
- Documented success a major gift fundraiser in healthcare and/or higher education.
- Proficient using the latest versions of social media platforms and mail merges.
- Must be available and flexible to support Foundation programs when necessary.

- Bachelor's degree in Fundraising, or related field (Communications, Business, Marketing)
