The UNM Foundation is delighted to invite nominations and applications for the Director of Development position in UNM Engineering. This pivotal role is essential as we enter the silent phase of our upcoming five-year campaign.

The successful candidates will join a fast-paced team of four at UNM Engineering, with guidance from the Sr. Director of Development and collaboration and support from an Associate Director of Development and a Development Assistant. As a member of the Dean's office, this individual will work collaboratively with the members of the Dean's leadership and advancement team to ensure that mutually beneficial relationships are created and sustained for the School's largest donors. The individual will work closely with the Dean, Department Chairs, faculty, center directors, volunteers and students. This front-line fundraising position will focus on relationships with major and principal gift donors and will manage a portfolio of individual and corporate donors located in Albuquerque, the region and across the U.S.

This individual must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community; the ability to foster effective working relationships within a team environment and in planning and implementing long-and short-range development initiatives to meet established priorities. In addition, this person must have database and records management skills, a working knowledge of a variety of fund-raising strategies and methods, and proficient in the use of personal computers and software applications.

Compensation Salary Range

$80,000 -$86,000

Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
