The Director of Engineering will lead and oversee engineering projects related to fire protection and industrial safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while driving innovation and efficiency in design and execution.

The Director of Engineering will lead and oversee engineering projects related to fire protection and industrial safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while driving innovation and efficiency in design and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality fire protection and industrial engineering projects.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and industry standards such as NFPA, ISO 9001, and local regulations.
- Oversee design and calculations for fire suppression systems, including foam, gas, and water-based systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct flow calculations and structural assessments to optimize system performance and compliance.
- Review and approve bid packages and pre-bid documentation for engineering projects.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and KYPipe for design and modeling.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
- Proven experience in fire protection engineering and industrial system design.
- Strong knowledge of fire suppression systems, including foam and gas systems.
- Familiarity with construction processes and safety regulations.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Robot, and NASTRAN.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
