A world leader in providing water and wastewater treatment solutions for both the public and private sectors that provides a single source for design, manufacturing of equipment, plant construction, commissioning, and operation for all types of water and wastewater treatment facilities is seeking a Director of Engineering.
The Director of Engineering will manage, guide, audit and coordinate the work of a highly skilled engineering and product development teams placing particular emphasis on developing new engineering solutions and products consistent with the appropriate time-lines and budgets. The Director of Engineering supports the company in reaching its profit and growth goals and positively interacts with all other departments to resolve problems where engineering or engineering department solutions are required. As part of the senior staff, the Director of Engineering actively participates in helping to make decisions that affect all aspects of the business unit.
Leads the development and implementation of overall engineering plans and objectives for assigned responsibility areas (mechanical, electrical, I&C and design engineering).
Directs activities including determination of project staffing requirements and making project staffing assignments based on work load, capability and skills; determination of project scope or definition; conducting of economic, technical or productivity feasibility studies; development of work plans, time schedules and cost estimates; development and maintenance of engineering standards; application of engineering techniques, data analyses and interpretation.
Coaches, mentors, and advises subordinates on technical problems, priorities and methods.
Monitors projects/activities to assure overall conformance to engineering, company and operational plans and objectives as well as related contractual engineering requirements.
B.S. Degree in Engineering, PE preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of advanced techniques, technical requirements and/or standards for functional responsibility areas.
Ten + years progressively more responsible industry experience in an appropriate engineering area.
Significant experience in water and/or wastewater industry preferred
