Barrel One Collective (B1C) is looking for a dynamic and visionary Director of Events & Retail to join our growing hospitality team and lead the charge at Harpoon Brewery's flagship location in Boston's Seaport. From festivals that draw thousands to the curated merch our fans love, you'll be the engine behind the experiences and products that make Harpoon unforgettable.

What You'll Be Doing:
Leadership & Team Empowerment

• Inspire, manage, and develop a multi-location events & retail team.
• Foster a creative, performance-driven culture across all 8+ locations (and growing).
• Build training programs to level up our team and ensure consistency in execution.

Strategic Financial Oversight

• Own the P&L for all event programming, merchandise, and beverage retail.
• Deliver insightful financial reports on performance, revenue, and future opportunities.
• Create sustainable systems that drive revenue without compromising quality or culture.

Festival & Event Operations

• Lead the planning and execution of our iconic Harpoon Festivals and location-specific events.
• Partner with the VP of Boston Festivals and local Events Managers to keep the vibes high and the beer flowing.

Retail & Merchandise Management

• Oversee merchandise procurement, branding, and sales across all locations.
• Collaborate with Marketing to launch new designs that fans can't wait to wear.
• Monitor inventory, pricing strategies, and vendor relationships to ensure profitability and brand consistency.

Retail Beverage Sales Leadership

• Drive sales strategy, staffing, and presentation for our beer-to-go programs.
• Work closely with on-site managers to optimize displays and elevate the guest experience.
• Analyze performance data and adjust in real time to maximize retail success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Sync with the Marketing Team to launch campaigns that support both sales and storytelling.
• Build rock-solid relationships with vendors, sponsors, and suppliers.
• Support the VP of Hospitality in big-picture planning and rollout initiatives.

Who You Are:

• You bring 7+ years of experience in events, hospitality, or retail-with at least 3 in a senior leadership role.
• You've got the numbers game down-budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics are your jam.
• You're a natural collaborator with a track record of managing teams across departments and locations.
• You're obsessed with the guest experience and know how to turn good events into unforgettable ones.
• You're flexible, innovative, and ready to roll up your sleeves when it's go-time.
