Job Description:

The Regional Director, Field HR Is responsible for driving the HR strategy and ensuring alignment with business goals as it relates to the field. This individual will partner with their regional leadership teams to deliver comprehensive HR solutions, talent management strategies and organizational development initiatives. The Regional Director of HR will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, managing complex HR issues, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring that the organization's HR practices support its growth and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the executive and regional leadership team to define and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Partners with Talent to lead and execute the development of talent management, leadership development, and workforce planning strategies.
  • Influence key decisions and initiatives related to organizational structure, culture, and employee engagement in assigned regions.
  • Drive initiatives that support employee retention, talent acquisition, and organizational change.
  • Leads, grows and develops team of HR professionals in region to deliver and support HR and operations initiatives.


Business Partnership:
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for HR matters for assigned regional areas.
  • Provides strategic guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, employee relations, and leadership development.
  • Works closely with leaders to ensure the delivery of HR services and solutions that support business objectives.


Talent Management & Workforce Planning:
  • Understands the Region's talent landscape and proactively identifies leadership and/or talent gaps, development opportunities, and internal mobility options.
  • Partners with Talent to oversee and conduct succession and high-potential planning in assigned region(s) to ensure the business has the right skills, capabilities, and readiness.
  • Monitors and assesses workforce trends to inform future workforce planning strategies.


Employee Engagement & Culture:
  • Implements and maintains initiatives that drive employee engagement, productivity, and satisfaction
  • Fosters a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that aligns with the organization's values.
  • Ensures that employees are supported in their growth and career development within the company.


Performance Management:
  • Leads the performance management process, ensuring alignment with business goals and individual development plans.
  • Works with leaders to provide feedback, identify development needs, and implement performance improvement plans.
  • Drives consistency in training initiatives and curriculum that encompass all employees in the Region.


Change Management:
  • Drives change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Advises leaders on effective communication and engagement strategies during times of change.


Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Manages employee relations issues and conducts investigations when necessary.
  • Advises on risk mitigation strategies and HR best practices to minimize risks.


Metrics & Reporting:
  • Develops and analyzes HR metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provides regular updates to executive/regional leadership on HR-related trends and insights.


Qualifications:
  • HR background and previous experience as strategic HR Business Partner.
  • Strong program and/or project management skills with direct experience managing/owning the executive-level client relationship.
  • Substantial business acumen with experience working for a multi-state, multi-site company; corporate office experience required.
  • Possess a clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy; must be able to convert into action.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills appropriate for consultation to all levels of management; the ability to present ideas clearly and gain agreement and group consensus.
  • Ability to influence and drive change in the organization.
  • Knowledge of HR related laws and regulations with experience in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong decision-making orientation; interface effectively with leadership and carry a strong point of view to a positive decision.
  • Previous experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years related experience preferred.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
