Job Title: Director of Finance & Compliance
Reports To: V.P. and General Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of monthly and annual financial reporting within the company, including preparation of complete financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, capital expenditure reports and other monthly reports as required by management. This position will direct, manage and support the development, implementation, maintenance and administration of all financial controls and accounting procedures. Establish departmental goals, objectives and standards. The Director of Finance is a key member of the management team and will be involved in the company's strategic decisions and financing relationships. This position will understand all business processes, across departments, and develop procedures to ensure appropriate financial and information technology controls. This position will implement business processes that make the company efficient and effective in their business mission and in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the financial operations and company's transaction processing systems with the Controller.
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
- Direct the annual budget process in a manner aligned with the company's short and long term goals
- Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets
- Be able to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to control costs and improve profitability.
- Ensure that the company's internal control procedures are effective and efficient in detecting and preventing fraud, errors, and noncompliance with laws and regulations.
- Member of the Local Compliance Team
- Responsible for maintaining programs that ensure the organization complies with all regulations.
- Help employees understand compliance requirements and responsibilities.
- Oversee training for compliance processes.
WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong and proven technical finance, analytical and systems skills
- High degree of initiative and flexibility
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of maturity, diplomacy and professionalism
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical financial information to a non-financial audience
- Ability to partner, influence and provide proactive consultation and solutions to senior management.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance required
- Masters of Accounting/Finance or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Advanced Excel data modeling skills required.
