This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary is $92,000 per year. Benefits include:

Role and Responsibilities
Finance and Accounting:
- In conjunction with the President & CEO and Board Finance Committee, develop and implement accounting and finance policies for the organization.
- Supervise and maintain accounting system in accordance with GAAP requirements including establishing necessary financial controls and periodic reporting systems for overall budget expenditures and cash flow.
- Provide financial analysis and periodic reports to internal and external stakeholders. Recommend corrective action to President & CEO, Finance Committee, and/or Board of Directors as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain positive external relationships with banking, investment and risk management partners.
- Manage relationships with independent auditors and ensure accurate preparation of audited annual financial statements and reports.
- As a member of the grants management team, ensure all grant financial requirements are met, develop grant/project budgets, and create grant financial reports as necessary.
- Manage accounting consultant relationship and direct work of external bookkeeper.
- Support Board Treasurer and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.
Employee Payroll and Benefits:
- In conjunction with the Associate Director of People and Culture, periodically investigate additional and alternative employee benefits plans. Provide cost analysis and calculate cost sharing of benefits for employees.
- Complete twice monthly payroll processing and monthly IDES reporting.
- Work with the Associate Director of People and Culture to maintain accurate employee records for HRIS and payroll.
- Manage employee expense reimbursement system and provide reporting for payroll processing.
Administrative:
- Supervise smooth operation of office, including overseeing organization's purchasing and contracting for supplies, services, and equipment; maintain inventory system for office equipment and furnishings.
- Analyze and develop necessary space utilization plans, including search for supplemental or alternative offices as required.
- Ensure organization maintains business compliance and registrations with local, state, and federal agencies.
Technology:
- Oversee information technology for organization including review and analysis of existing or new systems, strategic implementation of new technologies, and maintenance of database architecture.
- Supervise relationship with external information technology (IT) consultant and recommend changes as necessary.
Position Requirements
Experience Requirements:
- 7 years previous relevant work experience and at least 2 years previous staff supervisor experience.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP requirements for non-profit accounting.
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and establish collaborative working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement procedures or systems to improve efficiencies organization wide.
- Ability to advise all levels of the organization from Board of Directors and CEO to entry level staff.
Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge and understanding of government grant (state/federal) management and compliance.
- Experience with NetSuite or Salesforce.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license a plus but not required.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary is $92,000 per year. Benefits include:
- Flexible work and condensed work schedules available.
- Hybrid work environment - Position may work primarily remotely; however, position is required to network and attend partner/donor events, in person donor meetings and site-visits, and be in the office for new staff on-boarding, quarterly staff meetings and occasionally for other essential duties as required.
