About the Team
VIZIO is looking for a Director of Finance to provide functional support for the Engineering team. This person will play a key role in setting and achieving the strategic goals for our Engineering and Product teams. This position also offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Business Planning, Product Development, and other appropriate business areas as necessary.
What You Will Do
Handle monthly financial forecasts, annual budgeting, and five-year outlook.
Develop a framework to determine budget allocations and return on investment for engineering initiatives.
Implement resource planning and tracking process to support product roadmap.
Develop KPIs, metrics and dashboards to understand current and future investments.
Monthly financial updates to management.
Serve as the primary finance business partner to Engineering and Product leadership team.
Project manage small to medium-sized financial system implementations and process improvement projects.
Act as a key liaison between Finance and Engineering to anticipate, gather, and document requirements.
Identify, recommend, and drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies and scale across the organization.
Assist Finance team with any ad hoc requests, including the monthly, quarterly, annual close process.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master's Degree Preferred.
5 years of business experience in Finance, 3-5 years in Engineering preferably in consumer electronic industries.
Advanced level Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships across business functions.
Highly detail-oriented and organized to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Candidates will have outstanding partnership and communication skills, be able to handle multiple priorities, as well as the ability to deal with the ambiguity that comes in a fast growing organization.
