The Director of Finance provides support to the CFO and other executive leaders with respect to revenue optimization, operational forecasting, expense management, trend analysis, preparation of annual budgets, and generation and analysis of ad-hoc reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain finance platforms to track and analyze historical financial metrics, trends, and budgets
Effectively communicate financial performance and key drivers to internal and external stakeholders
Analyze monthly community revenues and rent rolls for occupancy, billing trends, market rent optimization, discounts, accounts receivable balances, and other ancillary charges
Perform financial analysis on key cost centers across communities in order to identify expense trends, and generate analytics based on resident per day calculations
Collaborate with RVPs of Operations and Regional Accounting Managers to identify trends and provide analysis and insights to community Executive Directors in order to improve community performance
Create models and reports utilizing Excel, PowerPivot, Microsoft BI, and Senior IQ
Generate weekly and monthly labor reports for all communities
Manage the annual budget process for all communities and the support office
Assist in preparation for monthly financial reviews for each community
Utilize reporting tools and platforms to track and report KPI metrics to internal stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Identify and execute process improvement initiatives
Serve as project lead for the onboarding of new communities, whether new builds or acquisitions
Analyze and report competitive analysis in order to provide insights on wages, rates, and other market data relevant to community performance
Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of finance, operations, or information systems experience in growth environment
Prior management experience
Ability to effectively lead cross-functional project teams
Experience in modeling and data analytics is a must
Experience in senior living, home care, hospitality, or multi-family industry preferred
Must be organized and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy
Must have strong presentation skills for a variety of audiences
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, communicate progress, and execute effectively.
