The Director of Finance is a senior-level position that reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees all aspects of accounting, finance, and billing and payment functions for the organization. The Director of Finance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, tax, and internal controls. The Director of Finance also provides strategic guidance and analysis to the CFO and other senior leaders on financial performance, risk management, and business opportunities.

The Director of Finance is a senior-level position that reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees all aspects of accounting, finance, and billing and payment functions for the organization. The Director of Finance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, tax, and internal controls. The Director of Finance also provides strategic guidance and analysis to the CFO and other senior leaders on financial performance, risk management, and business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the accounting, finance, and billing and payment teams, ensuring that they perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and planning process, as well as the periodic forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, and prepare and file tax returns and reports.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls and policies to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts.
- Conduct internal and external audits and liaise with auditors, bankers, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide financial modeling, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision making and business development.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity, and optimize the organization's capital structure and financing options.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and mentor staff and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws and regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and various accounting and financial software and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
