Job Description:

This position oversees the community's food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional quality and hospitality to meet resident and client satisfaction. This role involves managing the financial budget, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the smooth execution of departmental offerings:
  • Develop and implement overall operating strategy that is aligned to St. Camillus and disseminates the vision within the community, so all team members understand expectations.
  • Must have an entrepreneurial approach and take ownership in driving desired outcome and holding the assisting leaders accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate personnel, operations and culinary situations and make appropriate recommendations to thus involved.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with a high level of resilience during stressful periods, and have the ability to adapt and solve problems.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with Department of Health and St. Camillus standards.
  • Direct and conducts safety, and sanitation programs.
  • Ensures that regular, ongoing communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage by leading pre-meal briefings and staff meetings.
  • Advise and update executives, supervisors, coworkers, and associates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and oversee the department in accordance with the approved budget, providing the client with the maximum value of the dollars spent.
  • Reviews the financial report and statements to determine how the department is performing against the approved budget.
  • Understand St. Camillus' business model to prioritize what is most important to the residents and patients.
  • Be visible within the company to maintain excellent relationships with residents, staff and other departments.
  • Review resident satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement and share feedback with all team members. Take appropriate corrective action when needed to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Improve services by communicating and assisting individuals to understand resident needs, providing mentorship, feedback and coaching when needed.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent service that exceeds resident and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to cross-train abilities for all skills, promote professional growth and development of the entire team.
  • Ability to hire, train and retain talent for both leadership roles and associates.
  • All other duties assigned by your supervisor.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Management OR an Associate's degree, with four (4) years of food services management experience.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years of direct food service operational management experience, including inventory purchasing knowledge and control.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of food allergens and restrictive diet trends.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, clients, and associates.
