The Director of Global Upper Limb, Prosthetics will lead and drive the strategic direction of the upper limb prosthetics division on a global scale. While this role will directly oversee a small, high-performing team, it will have broad influence and oversight across regions, partnering with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment, innovation, and operational excellence.
With a large global scope of responsibilities, this position will coordinate and drive initiatives across countries, leading Global Product Management and collaborating with Manufacturing & Operations, Research & Development and Regional Sales & Marketing teams. The role carries full P&L accountability and will ensure the division meets financial and strategic goals while delivering innovative solutions to patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
Global Leadership & Strategic Influence: Leads and executes a unified global strategy. Develops and executes a cohesive global strategy for upper limb prosthetics that aligns with broader company goals. Directs the identification of new market opportunities, emerging technologies, and long-term product development initiatives to maintain the company's leadership position in the upper limb prosthetics market. Drives strategic decision-making and provides visionary leadership with broad oversight across global markets. Ensure financial success with full P&L accountability by setting growth targets, managing budgets, and optimizing profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Works across regions to align Global Product Management, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams on key initiatives. Collaborates closely with global and regional leaders, influencing product development and market positioning. Responsible for aligning Global Product Management with Upper Limb product development and lifecycle strategies with key business stakeholders. Ensures a consistent global product strategy while tailoring approaches to meet regional needs and market demands and adheres to global standards of innovation and quality.
Innovation & Product Development:
Work alongside R&D and product management teams to define and prioritize global product development strategies. Influence the global innovation roadmap by identifying emerging technologies and opportunities. Guide the introduction of next-generation technologies in upper limb prosthetics, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation in the field.
Clinical Integration & Global Partnerships:
Build and strengthen relationships with key clinicians, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation specialists around the world to ensure products meet clinical needs and regulatory requirements. Promote clinical validation and evidence generation to support global product adoption. Develop partnerships with leading research institutions and
medical centers to drive clinical validation and patient outcomes. Champion best practices in clinical integration across regions.
Market Intelligence & Positioning:
Analyze global market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to guide strategy. Collaborate with the Global Marketing and Sales teams to create a compelling product positioning and messaging strategy that resonates in diverse markets.
P&L Management:
Take ownership of the overall P&L for the global upper limb prosthetics division, while partnering with and receiving input form regional leaders on the Upper Limb growth and spend. Ensure financial performance meets or exceeds targets, managing costs, revenues, and profitability across all regions. Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead a small, high-impact team while driving collaboration and alignment across a global matrix organization. Mentor and develop talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and cross-regional cooperation. Be a key influencer and decision-maker for the division, balancing operational priorities with strategic objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commercial, Medical Devices, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including supervisory or advisory experience, in the medical device industry, with a focus on solutions for chronic medical conditions or similar fields.
- Proven leadership experience managing and aligning global teams, with expertise in driving cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong commercial experience within the medical device sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing P&L, with a focus on driving profitable growth, managing costs, and achieving financial targets.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical integration, and global market trends in solutions for chronic medical conditions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leadership and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, innovate, and drive the successful development and commercialization of global product portfolios.
