12-Month position
The Director of Guidance is responsible for administering and supervising the school counseling program, along with the substance awareness coordinator. The Director of Guidance will coordinate and oversee a guidance program that provides all students with the tools necessary to make informed decisions regarding personal, educational, and occupational goals.
Qualifications include:
Certification as required by New Jersey Department of Education.
Minimum experience as determined by the board; knowledge of computerized master schedule development.
Demonstrates broad knowledge of child growth and development, psychology of exceptional children, and the principles of individual and group guidance and counseling.
Demonstrates ability to effectively oversee student services, special education programs, and to work with parents, community groups, and agencies, across the K-12 school district.
Possesses strong leadership and communication skills.
