We're looking for a highly skilled and strategic Director of HR to join our Burnaby based team and lead the HR Department while supporting QE Home growth and culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in human resources management, retail management, be a proven leader, and have a deep understanding of HR best practices, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, health & safety and legal compliance.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

The Director of HR responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute HR strategies that align with QE Home's mission and business goals.
Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for new office employees.
Oversee employee development, training, and performance management initiatives.
Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with applicable regulations.
Provide leadership support in employee relations and conflict resolution, fostering a positive workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR regulations in all applicable provinces.
Analyze and report on key HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
Lead organizational development efforts, including succession planning and workforce optimization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on HR-related matters.
Manage HR team and resources, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Oversee, health and safety and leave of absence case management.
Manage HR technology platform.
Partner with Store, Office and Warehouse managers to understand business needs to identify HR strategies, programs and policies.

Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive HR management experience in a multi-unit retail environment.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proven ability to build, manage and lead teams effectively.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
CPHR Designation or equivalent is an asset.
Ability to travel within Canada.
Experience managing HRIS platforms (BambooHR).
