Overview
The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is an representative for the Coporate People and Cultre team, overseeing the HR function for the Allegiant Stadium. This is a venue leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager (GM). This role involves aligning key strategic and business objectives with employees and management while ensuring OVG policy adherence. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance management, Collective Bargaining Agreement oversight, employee recruitment, retention, and development, policy implementation, training, benefits administration, and employee relations. As a trusted consultant, the DHR collaborates with the Hospitality management team addressing HR needs. The role serves as an advocate for employees, a catalyst for change, and a strategic resource for the leadership team.
This role pays an annual salary of $100,000-$120,000 and is bonus eligible

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (BA) required, in Management, Business, Labor or applicable major.
A Minimum of 7+ years' experience resolving complex employee relations
5+ Years of union relations experience required
Solid knowledge of the principals and practices of human resources
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Applications
ADP, Lattice, ICIMS platform knowledge preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
Excellent people management skills
Strategic, analytical and goal oriented
Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
Thorough knowledge of labor legislation
Project and time management
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential preferred

Responsibilities
- Serves as the main liaison between OVG's Corporate HR and Hospitality management, ensuring a cohesive HR department.
- Adheres to OVG's HR policies for legal compliance, partnering with OVG's Corporate HR legal department when necessary.
- Provides HR policy guidance and support to onsite management, supervisors, and employees.
- Analyzes HR trends with OVG management to develop programs, solutions, best practices and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations.
- Collaborates with OVG Corporate HR on EEOC complaints and legal requests
- Works closely with management and employees to enhance relationships, boost morale, improve productivity and retention.
- Assist venue leaders with day-to-day performance management.
- Offers guidance and input on business unit restructuring, workforce planning/training, and succession planning.
- Manages recruitment processes, overseeing outreach, screening, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and ongoing retention efforts.
- Manages and or supports all aspects of employee industry association participation and internship programs.
- Maintains confidential employee records and addresses benefits-related questions.
- Handles workers' compensation matters and liaises with risk management on employee matters.
- Participates in negotiating local union agreements, providing recommendations, and administering and interpreting union agreements.
- Manages union-represented employee issues, including the grievance process.
- Advises on changes in regulations and identifies training needs for onsite employees.
- Identifies training needs and coordinates training programs, ensuring successful outcomes and conducts new employee orientations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direction, mentorship and leadership to team members
- Manage the recruitment, hiring, training development and retention of department.
- Supervise, support and guide team members, including performance assessment, engagement, recognition, and addressing HR-related issues
- Execute supervisory responsibilities in compliance with OVG's policies
- Provides leadership and guidance to all employees to ensure compliance with the local Code of Conduct.
- Role model OVG Values in word and action
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
