Position Summary

The HR Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the HR function, overseeing functions including employee relations, HR compliance, and managing the HR team. This role is pivotal in shaping HR strategies to align with the company's objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Help develop and execute HR strategies in alignment with the company's goals, driving organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead or participate in strategic HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee engagement surveys, process improvements, or HR technology implementations.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their needs, providing strategic HR advice, and driving initiatives to support departmental objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR solutions to address talent management, organizational design, succession planning, and change management needs.
  • Oversee complex employee relations matters, guiding the HR team in managing investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and resolution of workplace disputes.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures while promoting a positive employee relations climate.
  • Lead HR compliance efforts, staying abreast of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring policies and practices adhere to legal requirements.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures, conduct audits, and implement initiatives to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, overseeing their performance, professional development, and ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the HR department, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of performance management processes, providing guidance on goalsetting, performance evaluations, and talent development initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate learning opportunities for the HR team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics and reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making on HR-related matters.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the HR function.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4-5 years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience in a leadership or director-level role, preferably within the oil and gas industry or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
