ECHO is adding to our Human Resources Department! Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in steering the HR department and ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with the overarching goals of the company. This individual is tasked with leading the execution of HR functions, including talent management, learning and development, employee relations and engagement, compensation, and benefits. The ideal candidate will possess a forward-thinking approach to HR practices, championing innovation and operational excellence to drive the organization's success.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the VP of HR to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives that support the company's strategic goals.
- Serve as an escalated key point of contact, providing guidance and support to HR managers and employees on HR-related issues, including employment laws, terminations, performance management, unemployment issues, worker authorization, and leave policies.
- Partner with ECHO business leaders and staff to build and enhance a healthy workplace culture focused on excellence, collaboration, belonging, connection, and continual learning.
- Lead and manage the HR team in the delivery of key HR services: Human capital planning, organization design, employee engagement, employee development, recruitment, employment retention, performance management, employee support, job evaluation, training, compliance with regulatory agencies, and special projects.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decisions to move the business forward relative to talent, negotiations, staffing strategies, etc.
- Work with stakeholders throughout ECHO to design and implement programs and initiatives to address learnings from annual employee surveys.
- Support ECHO's Internal Communication and Employee Engagement Lead to implement a successful employee experience program, using established best practices and innovations to attract, engage, and retain talented staff.
- Champion the development and administration of HR policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.
Job Experience/Skills:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or related industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team-management skills, with a focus on mentoring and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
