The Director of Human Resources supports the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and the Business Administration to coordinate personnel responsibilities with the administrative, professional and support staff. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for administration of human resources within the organization to serve and manage all employees from recruitment through termination. The position is accountable for building and supporting administrative liaison relationships among the Central Office Administration, Building Administration, Supervisors, Faculty, Staff, the School Board and the Community.
The Director of Human Resources provides leadership and strategic direction for WASD's human resources systems. This position will oversee compliance to federal, state, local laws and PA school code regulations, provide counsel and assistance for HR legal and labor law matters and work closely with the WASD solicitor.

Fundamental duties include:
-Employee Relations
-Legal and Labor Law Counsel
-Employee Grievances and Investigations
-Performance Counseling
-Administrative, Professional (PAETEP) and Support Staff Evaluations
-Adherence to PA School Code and PDE Mandated Acts & Programs
-Compliance with State, Federal, and Local Regulations
-Professional Staff Certification, Licensure, and Special Qualification Requirements
-Monitoring of Professional Development/Act 48/Act 45
-New Employee Orientation, On-boarding/Off-boarding Processes, Employee Handbook
-District employment related policies, procedures, and administrative regulations
-Staff Recruitment and Retention
-Professional Development for All Employees
-Knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA and Anti-Discrimination/Harassment-Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategies in the workplace.
-Staffing and Absence Management/Leave Procedures & Policies

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Master's degree preferred.
5-8 years' experience in related field.
SHRM-SCP certification
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer/technology skill
Current or ability to obtain PA Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance
Valid Driver's License
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000.00-$95,000.00
