Our school district is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Technology to join our team and provide visionary leadership for the district's technology infrastructure. The Director will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of technology systems that support both educational and business operations. This individual will have a passion for education and a strong belief that all students, regardless of circumstances, can achieve success through the effective use of technology. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the development of technology systems across the district, ensuring alignment with educational goals and operational objectives. Oversee the selection, acquisition, and implementation of IT systems and solutions to support instructional and administrative needs. Manage all IT operations, including enterprise infrastructure, networking, systems design, data management, and technology services for staff and students. Supervise a dedicated IT team and collaborate with district leadership, faculty, and staff to integrate technology into the educational experience. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including FERPA, and maintain the security and reliability of the district's technology infrastructure. Foster innovation and continuous improvement through the effective application of technology in education. Qualifications: University degree required; master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing or directing IT operations, preferably in an educational environment. Expertise in strategic planning, systems management, budgeting, and project management. In-depth knowledge of data systems, networking (including Google), and both Windows and Macintosh platforms. Proven ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Motivated and self-directed with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to build collaborative relationships across various departments and stakeholders. Work Conditions: Availability for on-call support outside of regular business hours. Ability to travel throughout the district as needed. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work at a computer for extended periods.
