The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems and initiatives. This role ensures that technology supports and enhances organizational goals, drives innovation, protects digital assets, and provides a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for daily operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in developing and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's mission, business objectives, and growth plans.
Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer delight.
Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technology to enable innovation, reduce costs, and improve processes.
Oversee the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and user systems.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of systems to support business operations.
Ensure users are properly trained on all systems
Oversee strategic planning and development of data collection and reporting in partnership with department leaders
Identify areas of opportunity to leverage data and systems to drive business outcomes
Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to safeguard data, systems, and intellectual property.
Monitor risk, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and lead incident response as needed.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team.
Set clear goals, manage performance, and foster professional growth and collaboration.
Create a service-oriented IT culture with strong internal customer support
Oversee IT vendor relationships and manage technology procurement.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for directly supervising the work activities of others and making recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) in Information Systems or similar field and 8-10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience

Other Qualifications:
Experience in multiple disciplines of information technology including project management, business intelligence and analysis, hardware, and software.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, SaaS solutions, data architecture and data security.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information
Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Comfortable working in a secure, regulated environment.
