1.0 FTE Director of Innovative and Integrated Programming, 8 hours a day for 260 Contract Days
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Director of Innovative and Integrated Programming is an innovative and systems oriented leader who is responsible for maximizing the braiding and aligning of programs to ensure Adult Learner Programs, Secondary Learner Programs, Career and Technical Education Programs, Regional Workforce Development and Higher Education align to meet the educational outcomes of each program while providing a robust, enhanced and integrated learning experiences for all the learners. The Director will support and/or oversee Adult Learner Education and other programs as determined by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning to support braiding and program alignment. Adult Learner Education includes the responsibility for overseeing and enhancing educational programs that empower learners to achieve their academic, career, and personal development goals. This role includes grant research, writing, and management; staff supervision; and program implementation in alignment with established guidelines and standards. The Director will set learning objectives, develop training materials, provide coaching, and assess the impact of training initiatives. Additionally, this position will foster cross-program collaboration to expand student opportunities and improve program effectiveness.

General Administration & Program Management
- Advise and collaborate with the Executive Director on program development, service improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner in visioning, development, implementation and monitoring of an integrated program structure that braids and aligned Adult Learner Programs, Secondary Learner Programs, Career and Technical Education Programs, Regional Workforce Development and Higher Education
- Provide administrative leadership and oversee professional development initiatives related to the scope of the position.
- Conduct and participate in local, regional, and state meetings to align programs with best practices and compliance standards.
- Present reports, data, and program updates to district administration and school board meetings as needed.
- Manage and analyze program development data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Ensure fiscal responsibility by adhering to program budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
- Facilitate cross-program collaboration to expand learning opportunities and enhance student outcomes.
- Work with other SWMetro programs to drive innovation and implement best practices for adult learners.
- Provide for system alignment, coherence, and articulation, including ongoing and structural regional or local partnerships with postsecondary education institutions;
- Be a liaison to community and work-force organizations;
- Collaborate with consortium members;
- Monitor present course offerings for applicability to future job markets and build workforce programs of study;
- Work to create industry-recognized credentials, certificates, and appropriate post-secondary education or employment pathways;
- Make recommendations for long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the programs to meet changing job trends and labor market needs;
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of program course materials and resources;
- Report data, as a program participation requirement to allow for an evaluation of the program;
- Create plans to meet the data reporting requirements outlined as part of any grant criteria;
- Promote the programs through outreach, marketing, and communications.
- Partner with community businesses, local government and higher education to develop workforce pathways aligned to the Minnesota Career Fields, Clusters and Pathways.
- Research and identify new federal, state, local, and nonprofit foundation grant opportunities relevant to programs.
- Prepare and submit grant applications, ensuring alignment with district and program priorities.
- Supervise and support program staff, paraprofessionals, assistants, and volunteers as determined by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning.
- Oversee hiring, training, and evaluation of adult education staff to maintain program quality and effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with state agencies, service providers, industry leaders, and post-secondary institutions to expand program offerings and student opportunities.
- Represent the program in community, workforce, and industry-related initiatives to enhance adult learning and career pathways.
- Support district-wide professional development efforts by identifying training needs and developing relevant learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with district administration, committees, and staff to align professional development with the goals of programs.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, human resources development, or a related field; experience in adult education programs, career and technical education programs;Preferred - secondary and higher education programs;
- Active District Administrators licensure with Minnesota Department of Education or willingness to seek and/or obtain.
- Knowledge of district four program areas of Adult Basic Education, Alternative Education, Career & Technical Education, Special Education;
- Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills;
- Knowledge of developments and research in the field of professional development, instructional best practices, and organizational development;
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and current issues involved with conducting professional development initiatives;
- Knowledge of instructional best practices, adult learning theory, training design and development, and organizational development theory and practice;
- Demonstrated skills in excellent instructional delivery techniques and the ability to coach and train teachers and administrators in effective instructional techniques and strategies;
- Demonstrated skills in workshop presentation, team building techniques, and small/large group facilitation;
- Ability to design and present training materials and programs;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the division to include administrators and teachers;
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with staff, business associates, and general community;
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Ability to exercise initiative and make independent decisions to reschedule work to meet deadlines or to effectively handle emergency work.
