Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the surveying department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality outputs.
- Oversee project management for land surveying projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Utilize geospatial analysis to inform project decisions and improve surveying methodologies.
- Implement and maintain standards for CAD software and GIS technologies within the team.
- Resolve boundary disputes through effective communication and analysis of survey data.
- Conduct topographic surveys and provide construction staking support for various projects.
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Analyze data collected from surveys to produce accurate reports and recommendations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and provide leadership and mentorship to survey staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) certification is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proficient in project management principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of geospatial analysis and related software tools.
- Experience with CAD software and GIS technologies is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage boundary disputes and provide effective solutions.
- Knowledge of topographic surveying methods and construction staking processes.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment and technologies.
- Proven track record of regulatory compliance in surveying practices.
- Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment.
