Glen Ellyn School District 41 is Seeking a Director of Language Programs for the 2025-2026 School Year

District 41 seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Language Programs.
Salary and Benefits:$110,000.00-$130,000.00
The successful candidate will:
  • Provide instructional leadership and coordination for the EL, Dual Language and FLES programs in all five buildings
  • Provide instructional leadership to the At-Risk Bilingual PreK program
  • Develop and facilitate regular meetings for all groups and report minutes to Assistant Superintendent
  • Coordinate and facilitate program curriculum development and assist in program evaluations with the Assistant Superintendent
  • Model instructional strategies and assist teachers in delivering instruction that meets the needs of EL, Dual and FLES students district wide
  • Prepare annual program budget reports and work with the District Office to coordinate allocations of District, State and Title III grant funding for ELL
  • Create and Submit TBE/TPI/Title III Intent to Apply and Bilingual Delivery Report and TBE/TPI, LIP LEPS & IEP grants to ISBE
  • Work Collaboratively with the Business Office to submit expenditure reports for TBE/TPI, LIP LEPS, and IEP funds
  • Monitor key program indicators (i.e. F&P, MAP, PARCC, Spanish Literacy and ACCESS scores, etc.) and work with building leaders to increase student achievement
  • Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff members across the district
  • Serve as liaison to the State for program reporting, compliance and accountability
  • Coordinate the ordering, scheduling, and reporting of EL ACCESS testing in all five buildings
  • Provide parent outreach meetings and activities for EL programs
  • Prepare yearly building allocations
  • Effect the successful implementation of building, District and State goals
  • Coordinate WAPT testing, student placement, summer programs, interventions and instructional materials
  • Meet with Assistant Superintendent and building Principals as requested
  • Participate in articulation activities with the high school district as needed
  • Evaluate FLES, Dual and EL teachers
  • Assist buildings in developing EL, FLES and Dual Language master schedules
Required License:
  • Master's Degree
  • Teaching Licensure with endorsement in ESL and/or Bilingual
  • General Administrative Endorsement
  • Prior teaching and administrative experience
  • Dynamic leadership qualities and clear oral and written communication skills
  • Spanish Required
