Description:
The Director Market Performance (DMP) will serve as a critical support role to the entire Revenue Generation Team and be the primary identifier of hotel opportunities based on market performance. This includes continuous review of all hotel CoStar performance identifying opportunity for underperforming hotels. This role will be highly collaborative with the Revenue, Sales & Marketing teams, communicating and directing strategic change.
This position has the opportunity to work remote or in office at the Corporate Office in Minneapolis, MN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly Lodging Market Performance
- Remain current on Industry Market Share Results and how they compare to CSM performance.
- Review in detail, the STR performance for each CSM Hotel.
- Identify key opportunity areas by hotel focusing not only on the bottom tier, but any performance opportunities based on key factors identified by the Corporate Director of Revenue Management or VP Revenue Generation.
- Conduct weekly performance call with Revenue Generation leadership communicating discovery opportunities.
- Register, attend and stay up to date on all CoStar related system enhancements and updates communicating the updates to all affected Revenue Generation and Operations team members.
- Rolling up demand segmentation findings for identified need/risk Market Share hotels.
- Handle all email requests from Revenue Generation Team and hotel teams within 48-hour window
Monthly Company Market Share Performance
- Conduct monthly performance call communicating discovery opportunities as well as measurable results from weekly review.
Quarterly Company Market Share Performance
- Conduct quarterly performance call communicating discovery opportunities as well as measurable results from weekly and monthly review.
- Build plan for top 10-12 identified hotels with opportunity and work with Leadership Teams to execute the plan and measure results.
Annual Company Market Share Performance
- Conduct annual performance call with all Revenue Generation Team communicating results from the year, as well as measurable results put in place from strategic changes throughout the year.
- Create and maintain Market Share goals based on the Market Forecast completed during the budget process. Communicate these goals to Regional Revenue Managers and Hotel Teams, as well as updating results compared to the goal on a monthly basis.
Sales Performance Preparation and Review
- Provide support to Regional Directors of Sales, Regional Revenue Managers, Director of Marketing and Lodging Leadership team on intricate details of market performance in the hotels.
- Review group pace and negotiated segment performance cross checking to the market performance opportunity hotels and where there are commonalities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Expert understanding of CoStar performance measures and overall guidelines to the reporting.
- Brand system expertise with the rate change process, property detail update, revenue management systems, reporting, pricing shop tool, group booking detail, channel booking structure.
- Preferred experience with Customer Relationship Management tools such as Delphi, CI/TY and Envision
- Expertise in TravelClick Demand 360 and Agency 360 reporting. Experience with Lighthouse preferred.
- Ability to organize details for multiple hotels and multiple people. A strong multi-tasker.
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner to VP's, Regionals and Hotel teams on direction and system detail.
- Assertive manner to proactively work with Lodging teams and ensure tasks are completed timely.
- ossess general understanding of hotel operations and how operations intersect with revenue/sales/marketing
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills, keen abilities to set and achieve priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, function well under pressure, delegate effectively, ability to remain positive and constructive under stress
Required education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of hotel leadership experience required - revenue management, with multiple hotel assignments is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years brand system specific experience in revenue management related position.
- Hilton and Marriott preferred
Preferred education and experience
- Industry certifications through various organizations a plus.
- GRO and OY certified preferred.
