Job Responsibilities
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.
York Technical College seeks an innovative and experienced Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications to lead the College's Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications. Reporting to the Vice President for Communications and External Relations, the successful applicant will promote a consistent, professional, and collaborative image for the College and help achieve College mission, vision, short-term and long-term goals. The Director will be expected to develop and implement creative and measurable communications and marketing plans that encompass advertising, public relations, market research, publications, digital/social media, events, media relations and other aspects of strategic marketing; manage the budget to support the Office of Marketing and Strategic Communication; manage the YTC website; and assist the President and other Executive Committee members with communications and marketing functions.
