Job Description
Optimus seeks a passionate and experienced Director of Marketing to join our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an in-person, full-time, salaried position ($161,760-$173,520) with benefits that will lead the charge in building Optimus' brand awareness, generating leads, and ultimately driving sales. This pivotal leadership role will be a one-stop-shop for all things marketing having ownership and responsibility for crafting and executing a comprehensive strategy that drives brand awareness, lead generation, and business growth.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Optimus leadership team and VP of Sales to create a data-driven marketing strategy aligned with sales goals and overall company objectives with clear, measurable goals and objectives for marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Gain a deep understanding of the industry and target markets, coordinating outreach campaigns to generate leads and maximize brand awareness.
- Own the marketing funnel, from crafting compelling messaging and developing impactful campaigns to meticulous execution and insightful performance analysis.
- Identify, create, and manage engaging digital content across various platforms, expanding Optimus' online presence.
- Initially a team of one that will manage working relationships with outside contractors and agencies, the Director will need to grow, lead, and mentor a marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage expertise in SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, and data analytics to maximize reach, engagement, and lead generation.
- Prepare, approve, and promote press releases, online publications, and other materials to cultivate a strong brand identity for Optimus.
- Manage and optimize the Optimus website, ensuring a seamless user experience and optimal conversion rates.
- Develop and deliver regular performance reports with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of marketing efforts.
- Plan, execute and represent Optimus at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, expanding our network and fostering valuable partnerships.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact and ROI.
- Build and manage the CRM tools to track customer interactions at various lifecycle stages and gather insights to improve marketing efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment fleet/transportation industry experience a plus.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, content marketing, etc.) at the product scale stage.
- Experience working with a lean team and operating at both a strategic and tactical level as a department of one.
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics and ability to measure ROI.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A creative thinker with a knack for storytelling, brand building and strong aesthetic intuitions.
- A data-driven marketing expert with a deep understanding of digital marketing best practices, including SEO, Google Ads, and social media marketing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Premiere Pro preferred) and familiarity with design tools like Canva or Webflow.
- A clear communicator with exceptional writing and presentation skills.
- A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and readily adapts to changing priorities.
