Summary

The Marketing Director works closely with technical, project managers, practice directors and business development team members to align and define innovative marketing strategies to support HEAPY's strategic plan. This highly skilled colleague promotes Heapy and incorporates our vision, mission and core values in all aspects of their key objectives. This position leads and develops the marketing team, fostering a culture of responsibility, thought leadership, and forward-thinking initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Marketing Director is critical to the team's strategic approach to drive communication internally and externally to promote colleague engagement with other colleagues, clients, and our communities in which we serve.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in shaping and leading a marketing team with a focus on long-term strategy, and driving forward-thinking, high-level initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing, proposal management, and coordination.
  • Proven reputation as a thought leader in branding and marketing.
  • Clear ability to coordinate and assist in RFP/RFQ responses and shape, develop, produce and write content and strategies for the HEAPY Website, White Papers, Blogs, Podcasts, etc. to position the company as an industry leader.
  • Solid knowledge of content creation across mediums such as written, audio, and video formats, and experience in planning and executing content/campaigns that drive engagement and results.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and an eye for detail with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven sense of when appropriate to serve at a high level of guidance verses involved in daily execution of marketing initiatives.
  • A reputation for fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Proven success in inspiring team members to take ownership and act proactively and decisively.
  • Ideally, a background in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A|E|C) industry, or experience in a similarly complex, solution-driven environment where marketing plays a crucial role in driving business outcomes.
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, and/or proposal management and coordination preferred.


Position Requirements

Core Objectives
  • Maintains clear knowledge of HEAPY Corporate Vision, Mission, and Core Values and demonstrates awareness of how those objectives relate to position responsibilities.
  • Approaches all responsibilities as an opportunity for growth and experience, modeling the way for other team members.
  • Develops OKRs, provides mentorship and leadership to other Marketing Team Members, ensuring achievement of growth objectives.
  • Supports HEAPY's strategic plan by aligning marketing strategies to support business development and company goals, ensuring collaboration with department leaders (Practice Directors, Technical Leaders, etc.).
  • Develops, encourages and inspires visionary and strategic approaches to all Marketing activities that drive engagement with clients, the community and colleagues.
  • Leads the development and execution of high-impact internal/external content and communication initiatives, including website content, white papers, blogs, podcasts, audio/video and other advertising/marketing/media relations activities.
  • Leads Marketing Team in the development and execution of all public relations campaigns, quarterly client-focused events, promotional events and internal colleague events.
  • Creates and directs strategic marketing policies for the company, including standardizing and enforcing brand standards throughout all HEAPY collateral and messaging, ensuring the voice of HEAPY is maintained throughout all materials and strengthens the company's position as a leader in the industry.
  • In partnership with the Senior Marketing Coordinator, ensures the Company website is maintained and regularly reviewed for accurate and current information.
  • Counsels leadership on effective communication strategies.
  • Conducts ongoing competitive analysis and researches target markets and consumer trends to improve service offerings, messaging, and firm positioning in the market.
  • Establishes marketing performance metrics, tracking tools and campaign results to provide actionable insights for marketing team.
  • Creates and implements new processes for the improvement of the marketing department.
  • Develops and manages an annual marketing budget.
  • Empowers the Senior Marketing Coordinator - with proposal management, ensuring a proactive, strategic approach to the proposal process, including:
    • Assisting in the development and review of RFQs and RFPs
    • Providing guidance on the Go/No-Go process with Directors or Project Managers
    • Ensuring the quality of the process and proper delegation to team members.
  • Empowers team in their client/project research to develop positional strategies to win projects, including:
    • Overseeing the preparation of presentation materials for interview
    • Supervising the preparation/coaching of teams for project interviews
    • Implementing debriefing feedback to interview approach based on findings
  • Shares relevant articles and publications regarding marketing strategies and business intelligence with colleagues and department leaders as applicable.
  • Completes and submits surveys for various publications (Business Journals, ENR, BD&C, etc.).
  • Develop strategies in brand awareness and lead generation ahead of HEAPY expansion initiatives.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested/needed.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to remain sedentary at desk for long periods of time while operating a keyboard, mouse, stylus and using a computer screen.
  • Ability to communicate in person, electronically and via phone with other individuals.
  • Possession of Reliable transportation to and from the project.
  • Ability to work in all elements of indoor and outdoor environments which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
  • Ability to access all areas of the jobsite with activities that include ascending and descending stairs, scaffolding, ladders, navigating elevation changes, etc.
  • Capable of working in physical positions that may include maneuvering self into different positions traditionally is achieved by kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
  • Ability to move, transport, or position items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to apply established protocols and practices in a timely manner. and follow safety guidelines for both company and clients.
  • Ability to gather, organize and evaluate information related to strategies, including long-range and short-range plans, objectives, staffing, innovations and compensation.
