Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated and success-driven Mechanical Director. You will play a vital role in the managing of company assets, primarily vehicles and heavy equipment. You will also manage personnel who maintain and repair those assets.

What You'll Do:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Monitors proper allocation and scheduling of personnel and equipment to respond to emergency and non-emergency basis from a mechanical perspective
- Directs and ensures mechanical program and procedures (including repair, inspection, record keeping, and training)
- Works closely with Operations Personnel, Mechanical Managers and Senior Management to resolve maintenance issues
- Recommends measures to improve equipment operation and condition, and determines current and future equipment requirements and budgets
- Oversees and reviews purchase requisitions and bid processing to ensure cost effectiveness and quality products and service from vendors
- Monitors annual capital budget and maintenance expenditures
- Initiates mechanical cost saving programs when and where applicable
- Establishes and maintains vendor relationships to provide a support network for consistent safe and reliable equipment for company personnel as well as customers
- Appraises performance and addresses employee issues
- Determines staff requirements, recruits, trains, and develops personnel required to provide service to external and internal customers

Requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related mechanical field, or equivalent number of years of experience in the fleet/equipment maintenance management field
- Ten (10) years of experience including five (5) or more year's related experience managing fleet/equipment maintenance management in multiple locations.
- Advanced skills managing large fleets with multiple locations.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and various other computer-based programs.
- Advanced mechanical background, including trouble shooting and diagnostics.
- Advanced experience in managing people and equipment.
- Advanced leadership skills with strong coaching and counseling skills.
- Safety conscious.
- Strong team player and advanced team building skills.
- Advanced experience planning and maintaining budgets.
Travel:
- Subject to long, irregular hours and 24-hour on-call availability.
- Must be able to travel 60% of the time.
- Driving for extended periods.
