WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Director of Mission Support will oversee the growth and management of all offsite services provided by Summit Point, ensuring they align with and support the overall mission. The Director of Mission Support collaborates closely with executive leadership to align support services with organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Business Development Strategy:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to support the organization's mission and growth objectives.
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.


Partnership and Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Negotiate and secure strategic partnerships and contracts.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.


Proposal Development:
  • Lead the development of proposals, to secure funding and new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and develop compelling proposals.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals.


Project Management:
  • Oversee the implementation of business development projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on project status and outcomes.


Team Leadership and Development:
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.


Financial Management:
  • Aid in Developing and manage budgets for department.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial goals.


Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, preferably in a mission-driven or non-profit organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing new business and funding opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of market analysis, proposal development, and partnership management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Must have a clean driving record and the ability to maintain a USG Security Clearance.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
