We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to provide leadership and oversight to our nursing department. The Director of Nursing will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of dedicated nursing professionals in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing department, including staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures that promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Oversee nursing staff recruitment, retention, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing care.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among nursing staff.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing department performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in organizational leadership meetings and committees to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina or Compact State RN License.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Minimum of 5 of progressive leadership experience in nursing management or administration.
- Strong clinical background with expertise in acute care or similar healthcare settings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and drive performance improvement initiatives.
