JOB SUMMARY
Responsibility and accountability for medical specialty programming, including strategic direction, operational success, and clinical integration. Works with executive and senior leadership to achieve strategic goals for growth, clinical transformation, population health, cost effective integrated clinical programs, and provider engagement (quadruple aim).
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Master's degree in Business Administration or Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration- required
Experience:
5 years progressive experience in clinical leadership role- required
Experience managing clinical quality activities and knowledge of clinical operations- required
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversees recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies. Develops strategies meant to assist the ministry in meeting its strategic goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible.
- Approves and allocates resources based on ministry priorities. Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures.
- Has extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
- Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the span of control and in- collaboration with executive.
- Ability to develop and mentor others. Decision-making skills. Leadership skills. Oral and written communication skills. Problem/Situation Analysis. Statistical knowledge. Conceptual thinking skills.
- Responsible to provide oversight and leadership to medical specialty departments and operations. Provides innovative leadership to maximize the contribution to overall organizational performance through effective planning and efficient use of human and financial resources of the corporation. Responsible for the operations of assigned departments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Provides leadership by facilitating Saint Francis Healthcare System's vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff to communicate policies and goals.
- Develop and maintain operational plans for assigned departments that are aligned with the organization's strategic imperatives. Ensures that managers and departments are enabled and supported to achieve realistic goals and provide the support necessary to meet those goals.
- Plans, implements and markets services which meet the needs of identified internal and external customers through evaluation and assessment of customer needs and expectations.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations regarding medical clinical operations and the safe delivery of care.
- Prepare, submit and manage budget for assigned departments.
- Supervise managers and providers to ensure compliance with all policies.
- Assist managers with developing solutions to complex problems. Promote the efficient use of staff and resources in order to increase department productivity and financial sustainability.
- Monitor patient, employee, and provider satisfaction and implement plans for improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
