Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Director of Operations Finance will analyze and optimize pharmaceutical purchasing performance, oversee rebate programs, and manage supplier payments. Role is eligible for remote work, with periodic travel to the Baltimore/Annapolis, MD area.

Main Responsibilities
  • Partners with the Procurement team to measure, track and optimize pharmaceutical cost of goods sold.
  • Builds sophisticated cost optimization models, considering lowest unit cost, rebate value, prompt pay discounts, payment terms, credit limits, etc.
  • Analyzes and optimizes purchasing performance, driving and reporting weekly spend by supplier and pharmacy location.
  • Models and manages rebate programs to ensure proper accruals and cash collections.
  • Validates unit COGS data, confirming data integrity and consistency across databases.
  • Updates weekly supplier payment files, ensuring vendors are paid on time while maximizing prompt pay discount opportunities.
  • Supports Chief Operating Officer by identifying and tracking operating expense efficiency opportunities and building ROI analyses for capital investments.
  • Develops and updates Procurement Scorecard, documenting the financial impact of successful initiatives.
  • Oversees and maintains integrity of Power BI data warehouse and related tools.
  • Drafts materials for management and Board presentations.
  • Performs additional ad hoc analyses as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • 8-10 years of relevant financial analysis and modeling experience.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA preferred.
  • Pharmacy or PBM industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Power BI systems preferred.
  • Collaborative style, can-do attitude and high intellectual curiosity preferred.
