Position Summary: Responsible for team leadership, projects and resources of the AATECH internal operations organization. This includes all internal manufacturing, rework, and new product development. Works closely with business development, human resources, environmental health and safety, engineering, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
  • Develops plans and schedules for team(s) to ensure achievement of goals covering an extended period of time.
  • Coordinates activities and provides leadership to team members assigned to a major manufacturing area or an operations area as either solid or dotted line responsibility (e.g. quality assurance, engineering, purchasing); ensures integration with related teams or interdependent functions.
  • Organizes the structure of the team(s) and may redirect the objectives of the team, or other team leaders, to meet changing demands and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Recommends and implements systems and/or process controls for efficient operations, quality and productivity through continuous process improvement and establishing and communicating performance measures and results. Relates effectively to people at many levels in the organization including external contacts with customers, suppliers, and government agencies.


Functional Areas within operations include:
  • Manufacturing Operations: Assembly and Test; Inspection; Machining; Industrial Engineering; Facilities and Maintenance.
  • Operations Support: Provisioning; Materials and Production Planning and Control; Inventory and Logistics.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Leads the operations organization in hiring and developing key personnel within the respective functional areas.
  • Working with the functional team leaders, ensures company key metrics are properly maintained and areas of deficiencies are addressed accordingly.
  • Leads the operations organization in developing and monitoring departmental and functional financial budgets.
  • Leads a cross functional review of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
  • Assists in the creation of key metrics in all aspects of operational activities. These include but are not limited to first time yield, scrap, productivity, safety, cost initiatives, equipment down time and inventory.


Required Qualifications:
  • B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline or equivalent, professional level experience of six or more years and demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
  • Proven competency in a higher-level team leader role for five or more years, and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of products, manufacturing processes and technology, information systems, and/or specialty areas, and general business practices.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
  • Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities.
  • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
