Position Overview: As the Director of Operations at SMTC, you will lead our production operations departments, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality requirements, and safety protocols. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing manufacturing procedures that continuously enhance our competitive positioning, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the production area, ensuring compliance with schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing procedures that drive continuous improvement, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and other functional leaders to meet customer expectations, resolve production-related issues, and support company growth objectives.
- Ensure all orders are manufactured according to specifications and quality requirements, maintaining compliance with manufacturing cost standards.
- Optimize resource utilization, initiate and monitor cost controls, and ensure proper staffing levels to meet production requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's in Science/Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of ten (10) years' leadership experience in manufacturing and/or military environments.
- IPC certification and fiber optics assembly experience preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving, multitasking, and communication abilities. Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
