Job Summary: The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for the oversight and management of the Urgent Care, Laboratory, Emergency, and Diagnostic Imaging Departments.
Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
Salary range: $110,000 - $185,000 per year
Essential Job Functions:
Supports service lines to develop, grow, and ensure efficient operations of each outpatient department.
Develops and maintains policy and procedure for each outpatient department.
Develops systems, processes and, initiatives to ensure operations are in accordance with hospital guidelines and supporting interaction with all other hospital departments.
Maintains appropriate outpatient staffing levels of each department, coordinates cross training and management of all staff in outpatient departments.
Ensures each department is properly educated and participating in quality programs.
Supports relationships with outpatient departments and referring services to ensure healthy and responsive relationships.
Assists Physicians and Physicians Assistants with staff interaction and implementing new processes, procedures, and training.
Ensure all outpatient departments are adequately equipped to perform all duties and equipment management with problem solving resolutions.
Communicates well with all other hospital departments to facility patient care at any level in any department.
Performs other duties as assigned.

o Applies the principles and values of customer service and continuous quality improvement while performing day to day activities of the position.
o Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care, personnel and strategic issues. Adheres to Confidentiality Policy.
o Maintains positive working relationships and fosters cooperative work environment. Adheres to the hospital's Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct in the HR Manual.
o Displays honesty and mutual respect when communicating with peers and other departments.
o Follows through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, BSN preferred.
Experience, Knowledge and Training: Three (3) or more years management experience and a health care background. Proficient in personnel management. Aware of professional standards and regulations. Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement and that of others.
Physical Requirements: Requires reaching, grasping, handling, and/or feeling five (5) or more hours per day in order to record data, operate computer/word processing equipment, etc.; visual acuity to maintain various records/reports, prepare forms, utilize automated processes, comprehension of written instructions, etc.; audio acuity to respond to requests, instruction and questions.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures: Exposure to environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infections/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
ASH IMMUNIZATIONS AND VACCINATIONS REQUIREMENTS - Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare Personnel
Hepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervals
Influenza- documentation of current seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year)
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR Vaccination
Varicella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine
Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunization
Tuberculosis Screening - Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 months
* VACCINE RECORDS OR EVIDENCE OF IMMUNITY ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO 1ST DAY OF SCHEDULED WORK
