Description:
The Pastorate of St. Louis Church, Clarksville and St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fulton seeks candidates for a Director of Operations to ensure the effective operation of both parish offices, including managing the staffs, the facilities, and the parish organizations. The Director of Operations reports to the Pastor. This position is salaried and eligible for benefits, including health insurance.

Range: $80,000 - 110,000, Annualized

Essential Functions
Staff Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of both parishes.
- Assist the Pastor in supervising the staff of both parishes.
- Administer parish salary and benefit policies as directed by Pastor
- Oversee the maintenance of sacramental records and parish registrations and Child Protection records
- Prepare parish response to insurance and legal questions, in cooperation with Archdiocesan offices
- Process time sheets from staff and forward them to business manager for payroll processing
- Lead staff meetings and participate in other parish meetings as directed by Pastor
- Review the Annual Consolidated Report before it is sent to the Archdiocese
- Oversee the completion of both parish Annual Reports
Facilities Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist the Director of Facilities in negotiating contracts with outside contractors and vendors
- Meet regularly with Director of Facilities to discuss projects at both parishes
- Oversee the use of all parish facilities at both parishes, school, and cemetery
- Oversee the security policies of both parishes, including school
- Help prepare annual parish calendar
Financial Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate filing and recordkeeping system for all parish financial matters
- Work in conjunction with the Business Manager in handling accounts payable
- Attend Finance Committee meetings at both parishes and school
- Guide the annual parish budget process, along with Pastor, Finance Committee, and Business Manager
- Monitor the collection, counting, recording, and depositing of parish revenue from all sources for both parishes
- Serve as parish contact with banks and with Archdiocesan offices
Parish Ministries and Organizations Responsibilities
- Assist Pastor in uniting the efforts of the diverse parish ministries and organizations
- Ensure good communication between the office staff and the parish organizations
- Oversee the scheduling of parish activities and ministries
- Work in conjunction with the Parish Coordinator in handling parish ministries and organizations
Position Qualifications
- BS/BA in a Business or Management related field with at least 5 years' experience.
- Some college-level study of Catholic theology preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Some experience in business or management preferred
- Understanding of and ability to support the operation and mission of the Parish.
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and the use of office equipment.
- Familiarity with the culture of Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Ability to be positive, professional, and empathetic with staff and parishioners.
- Ability and experience in effectively leading a team and supervising staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor in all situations.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Strong written and oral skills; ability to deliver clear presentations to different constituencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, QuickBooks, and adaptable to learn church software.
Range: $80,000 - 110,000, Annualized
