Description:
The Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) provides oversight and support of all patient care and associated personnel for assigned program(s). This oversight includes patient and personnel assignments, coordinator of care, coordination of referrals, assessment of patient needs, and ensuring the plant of care is developed, implemented and updated. The DPCS is responsible for the services provided by the home health programs and strives to provide the highest quality of care through all service lines. The DPCS is responsible for staff engagement, development and performance, including policy, regulatory and compliance knowledge and adherence. The DPCS is always available during operating hours (or designates a similarly qualified alternate) and participates in all activities relevant to assigned programs including setting/developing and executing strategic goals, budgets and staffing models. The DPCS has joint responsibility with the COO/Administrator for seeing that patient care standards are met by participating in development and implementation of agency objectives to obtain and meet the agency vision and mission statements.

Education/Experience/Qualifications: Possession of a Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of California. Three to five years experience in Home Health with at least one of those years in a supervisor role required. Ability to exercise independent judgement and critical thinking to supervise and coordinate clinical professionals and agency support staff. Ability to learn to effectively operate computer hardware and software programs.
