Description
Boone County is seeking a skilled and experienced Planning and Zoning Director to join our team. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Area Plan office, as well as leading major projects such as a new comprehensive plan and updates to solar and wind regulations.

This is a leadership role that requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results.

Typical Qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor of Science degree with major course work in urban planning or related field. AICP certification is not necessary but is encouraged.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in urban planning or related field with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory position preferred.
- Working knowledge of fundamental planning issues and concepts.
