Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Pool Construction to join our Fort Lauderdale team. This leadership
role requires extensive knowledge of commercial pool construction, Florida building codes, and crew
management. The Director will oversee multiple projects at various stages, ensuring efficient scheduling,
deployment, and tracking of crews to maintain quality and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of commercial and luxury residential pool construction projects from start to finish.
Manage and schedule crews across multiple projects in various build stages.
Ensure all construction activities adhere to Florida pool building codes and Department of Health
inspection requirements.
Coordinate with General Contractors (GCs) to align schedules, address issues, and maintain project
timelines.
Utilize BuilderTrend or similar construction management software to track progress, manage resources,
and maintain clear communication.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and team productivity.
Train and mentor construction crews to enhance skills and ensure consistency in work quality.
Develop and implement strategies to improve workflow efficiency, minimize delays, and meet project
milestones.
Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in commercial pool construction with extensive knowledge across all facets
of pool building.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Florida pool building codes and Department of Health inspection
processes.
Blueprint Proficiency: Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints and technical drawings to guide
project execution.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a proven capacity to guide
diverse teams effectively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with general contractors, clients,
subcontractors, and internal teams.
Project Management: Advanced organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and
ensure project milestones are met.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in BuilderTrend or similar construction management tools.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred. A combination of
education and work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree.
Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
