Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field
- A minimum of five years in a management or leadership role, ideally within the behavioral health, public health, or social services fields
- Certified Prevention Specialist certification, or a commitment to obtain certification within three years of employment
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or a related field
- Supervisory experience, with demonstrated ability to lead teams in complex environments
Essential Functions

- Provide supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluation for Prevention Center staff to ensure excellence in service delivery and professional growth
- Exercise decision-making authority in areas such as hiring, training, staff development, and performance management to support team goals
- Oversee and manage program budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure effective use of resources
- Partner with internal teams to promote prevention programs, ensuring materials reach the community effectively and increase service utilization
- Actively represent New Vista in community boards and networks to enhance collaboration, communication, and service integration
- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for critical programs such as the KMM Program, Plan of Safe Care Program, and other prevention programs (Zero Tolerance, Sources of Strength, Too Good for Drugs, and QPR)
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of the Strategic Prevention Framework, including conducting needs assessments, data analysis, capacity building, and program evaluation
- Act as a resourceful Prevention Specialist when required, with a broad understanding of the unique needs of each service area
- Design and deliver effective training initiatives and acquire new certifications as needed to enhance program reach and impact
- Be prepared for regular travel to support community engagement and team oversight across service areas
