Overview

To develop and execute a comprehensive pricing strategy for Alex Lee at wholesale and retail.

The Pricing Lead will lead the design, development, testing, and roll-out of new pricing approaches and go-to-market strategies.

Assures continuous improvement in error reduction and efficient work processes for stores.

Accountable for pricing strategy and structure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all components surrounding the pricing of products across ALI (processes, systems, reporting, and people)
  • Lead the pricing process from start to finish; partnering with our retail banners and MDI
  • Identify opportunities to maximize price and margin across all banners
  • Develop and manage KPIs to measure effectiveness and outcomes of pricing actions
  • Partner with executive-level sales, merchandising, operations, and finance leadership to deliver financial outcomes and operational objectives
  • Forecast banner profitability based on pricing and banner strategies, industry trends, and competition
  • Work across the organization to provide analytical pricing structures
  • Develop pricing expertise with our current systems and develop tools to enhance the execution of our pricing strategies by developing surrounding processes, owners, timelines, and reporting
  • Gather and integrate market and competitive insights into pricing and other activities
  • Support pricing system enhancements with the IT department
  • Develop, implement, and follow up with users on pricing rules through our pricing systems
  • Own and manage our price check process to ensure that our competitive data is actionable
  • Reporting on our price position and identifying actions needed to meet goals
  • Participate in the selection of and facilitate all training for Pricing specialists and analysts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years supermarket management and/or pricing experience
  • Specific acumen and experience in pricing strategy
  • Strong understanding of a broad set of information systems necessary to move from pricing strategy to tools used for successful execution
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong background in both strategy development and execution
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build bridges across the organization
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to facilitate pricing strategy and execution meetings with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills (creates engagement) necessary to lead change
