The salary range for this role is $175,000 to $195,000/year with bonus opportunity, equity grant, and other perks. The stated range is the range that we reasonably believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This range may be modified in the future.

What You Can Look Forward To:
Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Procurement Director. This position is responsible for the execution of proper management of procurement strategy and execution .
What Will You Do?
- Create long-term forecast process for: Strategic procurement, Materials planning, and Offshoring
- Lead all business negotiations, contracting, partner development and global factory network decisions with CMs/ODM's, including outsource development.
- Drive program initiatives to improve margins, reduce risks and improve outsourced partner performance for operational and financial gains.
- Lead , implement and manage the MRO process from a commercial stand point using existing CMMS system
- Identify and secure competitive material sourcing alternatives to support corporate initiatives.
- Develop, negotiate and execute contracts with suppliers and contractors throughout the business.
- Manage material procurement,
- Develop strategies to minimize disruption risk and secure business continuity.
- Lead business negotiations with CM/OEMs with the intent to maintain long-term competitive advantage.
- Independently lead efforts to improve operating margins through the use of Lean or other Principles within the supply chain.
- All other projects and duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's Degree required. LEAN and/or Kaizen certification preferred.
- CPM Certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years proven experience in the areas of:
- Supply Chain Strategy & Planning; Spend Analysis; Commodity Management (Direct/Indirect/MRO); Policy & Procedure Development; Supplier Strategic Sourcing (Global & Domestic); Material Cost Savings; Compliance; Contract Management & Negotiation; Risk Management * Mitigation; Change Management; Business Process Re-engineering; Global Logistics; and Supplier Relationship Management.
- Knowledge of US Customs Regulations, Homeland Security International Shipment requirements, Schedule B, HTS, EAR, L.Z and Incoterms.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
- Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.
