Position Summary: The Director of Procurement will be a critical member of the Ivy Hospitality executive team, responsible for leading the sourcing and purchasing strategy across a diverse and growing portfolio of full-service, select-service, and extended-stay hotels. This role is accountable for building and scaling a centralized procurement function that balances cost discipline with brand compliance, operational agility, and service excellence. The Director will develop vendor partnerships, negotiate high-value contracts, and ensure procurement practices align with Ivy's values of performance, trust, and hospitality. Success in this role will be defined by measurable cost savings, seamless procurement operations, and strong internal and external relationships that drive value across every hotel in the portfolio.

  • Lead all sourcing and procurement strategy for a growing portfolio of full-service, select-service and extended-stay hotels, ensuring alignment with operational goals, brand standards, and budget performance.
  • Build a centralized procurement function that supports property-level efficiency while enabling flexibility across clustered hotel markets.
  • Develop and oversee purchasing programs for CapEx, FF&E, OS&E, food & beverage, and service contracts, ensuring cost control, quality, and consistency across properties.
  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships grounded in performance, transparency, and long-term value; serve as the primary point of contact for vendor negotiations, contract execution, and issue resolution.
  • Establish preferred supplier networks and strategic sourcing agreements that drive savings and enhance service delivery.
  • Serve as a key business partner to General Managers, Regional Directors of Operations, and property support teams to understand local needs, evaluate spend, and implement purchasing plans that meet both brand and operational standards.
  • Lead contract negotiation efforts for major procurement categories, balancing cost effectiveness with service levels and brand requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, supply chain dynamics, and product availability to anticipate risk and proactively address potential disruptions.
  • Create scalable systems and processes to support purchasing activity across a diverse hotel portfolio, including invoice tracking, vendor performance metrics, and process compliance.
  • Partner with Operations and Accounting to ensure alignment on budgets, capital planning, and accurate forecasting of procurement expenditures.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools or platforms to support digital procurement and inventory management across properties.
  • Provide guidance and education to hotel leaders on procurement policies, cost-saving opportunities, and effective purchasing practices.
  • Travel as needed to support property openings, vendor reviews, and operational alignment (estimated 10-20%).


Qualifications:
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality & Tourism, or related fields
  • Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred; hotel management company background a plus
  • Proven ability to lead multi-property procurement initiatives, including CapEx, FF&E, OS&E, F&B, and service contracts
  • Demonstrated success in vendor negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract execution
  • Strong understanding of brand standards and operational needs across full-service and select-service hotel environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across functions and build trust at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and analytical, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms, inventory systems, and financial reporting tools
  • ProfitSword, Monday.com, FoodBuy, M3 experience preferred.
