RESPONSIBILITIES
BUILDS EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS
- Builds and maintains relationships at multiple levels of accounts and across all constituents.
- Collaborates with several business partners within the company to implement appropriate strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles.
- Actively participates in industry events and conferences
BUSINESS INSIGHT
- Understands the generic strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develops sales strategies to respond effectively.
- Works with senior management to integrate business plan as part of the Company's Strategic Business Plan.
DRIVES RESULTS
- Qualifies potential opportunities early in the sales cycle and manages pipeline in his/her market sectors to ensure that opportunities are pursued in a timely way, across various stages of the sales cycle, preconstruction, and production stages.
- Ensures the leadership team is involved within appropriate opportunities at pivotal points and is aware of significant developments.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful project acquisitions within the commercial construction industry.
- Communicates regularly with the pursuit team to ensure that they are informed on significant developments and customer issues.
CUSTOMER FOCUS
- Responds effectively to client requests, resolves critical issues, and meets all commitments in a timely manner while partnering with key stakeholders to ensure communication and expectations are met or exceeded.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- BS/BA in Construction Management or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management, preconstruction, or business development
- Demonstrated success selling large industrial projects (define scope and size)
- Ability to conceptualize developer ideas and solidify such ideas presenting plans and implementation.
- Knowledge of all technical and project management aspects of design build projects
PREFERRED:
- Previous commercial construction sales/business development experience
- Proficient in Bluebeam and MS Project
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Excel
- Ability to manage on several clients and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully meet deadlines in high stress environments
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed project objectives and timeframes
