Summary:
The role of Director of Project Management requires managing projects involving the installation of lab furniture, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion. This individual will work closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of projects while using key software systems like NetSuite and Bluebeam to manage processes and documentation.

Project Planning & Coordination:
Use NetSuite and Bluebeam to manage project planning, resources, schedules, and budgets for lab furniture fabrication and installation projects. Ensure alignment with production schedules and client requirements, focusing on timely delivery. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure technical specifications are feasible and followed. Team Building and Development Recruitment and Hiring: Identifying and hiring qualified project managers and support staff with expertise in lab furniture and construction. This may involve creating job descriptions that highlight the necessary technical skills and industry experience. Training and Development: Establishing training programs to enhance team members' knowledge of industry standards, project management methodologies (like Agile or PMP), and technical aspects of lab environments. Mentorship and Coaching: Providing ongoing mentorship to junior project managers, helping them navigate challenges and develop their project management skills.

- Setting Objectives: Defining clear objectives and KPIs for the project management team, aligning them with overall business goals and project requirements.
- Resource Allocation: Assessing the team's strengths and weaknesses, assigning projects based on individual expertise and capacity, ensuring optimal resource use.
- Performance Evaluation: Conducting regular performance reviews to assess team members' contributions, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

Education and Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in project management roles, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or related industries.

- Demonstrated success in overseeing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Experience in working closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software for scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
- Experience with laboratory manufacturing processes, equipment, or related fields is a plus but not always required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
