Job Overview
This role is responsible for the execution of EENY's projects through oversight of the forecasting, planning, scheduling, logistics, physical installation, and finishing of projects. This role directly oversees Project Managers and indirectly oversees Assistant Project Managers, they will enable their success through guidance, supervision, coaching and mentoring. The Director of PM monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems, proposes operational improvements, and cost savings for future projects. As needed, the Director of PM will be assigned as Project Manager for a small portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
Leadership:
- Lead and manage direct reports in the project management team. Hold team members accountable for responsibilities.
- Define processes for project delivery in company software/productivity tools.
- Coordinate the resolution and/or correction of interdepartmental issues.
- Provide technical oversight, guidance, and support to PMs & APMs.
- Identify where remedial or advanced training is needed for direct reports, setting one standard for all.
- Perform performance evaluations & corrective action of all direct reports, including constructive criticism on project performance, and completion.
- Mentor direct reports in job related skills, such as leadership, decision making, adhering to company standards, established practices, and company protocols.
- Identify and/or develop training materials and guidelines for PM/APMs to follow; create a training path to becoming a better project manager via career advancement. Facilitate training events as the subject matter expert within EENY.
- Create and refine documentation standards associated with Project Delivery, such as project documents, redlines, as builds, work orders, etc.
- Mitigate scheduling conflicts, work across project teams and alongside department managers to identify available resources who can fulfill project tasks. Leverage use of vetted subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure Project Coordinators are maintaining CO folders, assist in cleanup for "stalled" or unapproved change orders.
Operations:
- Perform project oversight. Facilitate & lead weekly Project Delivery huddles to review/monitor all Project Management activity.
- Review accepted proposals for scope/timeline and assignment of PMs with an eye on balanced workloads.
- Ensure projects are covered when direct reports are on PTO.
- Responsible for 30/60/90-day forecasting; ensure PMs are maintaining and updating their baseline schedules. Verify scheduling necessary resources 30-days prior to site presence.
- Ensure effective use of resources via scheduling and logistics, minimizing return trips.
- Visit job sites with PMs/APMs as needed for purposes of quality assurance.
- Provide leadership and planning to drive profitable projects to completion; monitor weekly/monthly status reports, punch lists, and closeouts.
- Review all change orders for accuracy, justification, proper labor, and proper discounts as appliable.
- Ensure proper administrative closeout of projects, ensuring all contractual obligations have been met and that the assigned PM has adhered to EENY's Service handoff process.
- Fulfill all the duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager, as needed as a back-up or for your own assigned projects.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in design and implementation of technology systems.
- Prior experience as a team, department, or operations leader preferred.
- Project management certification a plus; PMP preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Must be able to work well in groups and individually.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and address personnel issues with appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual.
- Possess superior written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
- Must have strong computer skills including MS Office suite, databases, and project management software.
- Must be able to maintain the following attributes while working under the pressure of deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail.
- Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities.
- Required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. OSHA 40 and SST certifications required or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.
