Join the dynamic team at Pace Industries, as the Director of Purchasing and Sourcing. We are seeking an innovative and collaborative leader to oversee the procurement and sourcing processes to ensure consistent and best-in-class practices supporting supplier negotiations and analysis of the company's purchasing function for all Pace locations. This position can work anywhere in the United States and will report directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing Services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Reduce total cost for the company in managed categories while improving the overall quality of products and services procured
- Develop and manage supplier base with input from internal stakeholders
- Work across the business to ensure internal needs are met
- Oversee RFI, RFP, contract development and other purchasing-related processes to enhance performance and sustain results
- Monitor supply market and identify opportunities to increase purchasing effectiveness
- Develop and lead purchasing strategies across Pace
- Craft negotiation strategies to close deals with optimal terms
- Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
- Design, implement, manage, and monitor inventory and purchasing reporting systems to meet organizational requirements
- Develop and demonstrate strong market analytics and provide materials forecasting to the business divisions
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership as needed to identify and develop requirements for equipment, materials, products and acceptable substitutions
- Demonstrate sound business decision-making, aligned with company values and ethics
- Develop dashboard metrics for procurement and manage performance to the metrics

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field; advanced degree is a plus
- 8+ years progressively responsible experience including demand planning, purchasing, production planning, contract management, mathematics, and/or statistical forecast modeling
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing setting
- Strong teamwork skills required for facilitation/interaction with stakeholders and leaders across the business
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions at all levels
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Skills:
- The candidate is expected to be strong or excel in the following skills: verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, leadership, collaboration, negotiation, analytical and problem solving
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, requirements, and competing demands in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to travel up to 25% annually
