Experience with Independent & Lifestyle Hotels
- Proven experience in managing revenue for independent hotels is critical, as Austin Proper operates outside of a traditional brand model. Familiarity with boutique luxury and lifestyle properties is key to understanding guest behavior and optimizing unique revenue streams.
Technical Expertise
- Strong command of key systems, including but not limited to:
- PMS (Property Management System)
- RMS (Revenue Management System)
- CRS (Central Reservation System)
- Familiarity with OTA platforms, META channels, and distribution strategies will be crucial.
Communication & Ownership Engagement
- Given the profile of Austin Proper, clear, professional, and strategic communication with ownership is a priority. The ideal candidate should be confident in presenting data-driven insights and collaborating with ownership to align on revenue strategies and performance goals.
Leadership & Collaboration Skills
- The candidate must effectively partner with on-property teams, sales and marketing, and corporate leadership to align strategies that maximize profitability and market share.
Strategic Thinking & Analytical Skills
- A deep understanding of market segmentation, competitive benchmarking, and forecasting to build strategies that align with Proper Hospitality's unique positioning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic revenue plans for Austin Proper.
- Optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution channel strategies.
- Analyze market trends, STR reports, and competitor positioning to adjust tactics proactively.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to achieve revenue goals.
- Drive direct booking performance and reduce reliance on high-cost distribution channels.
- Ensure consistent evaluation of RMS configurations, ensuring the system aligns with current market trends and demand.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in a senior revenue management role within a luxury or independent hotel environment.
- Expertise in systems such as IDeaS, Duetto, Synxis, or comparable platforms.
